You don't have to be a kid in our program to get involved! The Open Roads Bike Program is involved in the Kalamazoo Community in many ways, including:

The Fix is BACK!!  Starting on June 16th, we are operating this magic workshop again!

MONDAYS from 6:00 - 8:00 PM we are at The Riverview Launch!! This is our new space at 1523 Riverview Drive.

TUESDAYS from 6:00 - 8:00 PM we are in The Edison Neighborhood. We will be at 1303 Portage Road.

The opportunity to work on bikes and hang out with kids shouldn’t just be for our staff! Fixapalooza is a weekly community event where anyone can come learn more about what the organization is all about, and get their hands dirty fixing bikes. This event is a great time to donate a bike, bring a bike you would like repaired, purchase a bike, work with neighborhood youth in a small group setting to fix a bike, or just come hang out and meet new people. This is especially a great opportunity for any of our mechanics out there who want to get their hands dirty, and tinker with bikes for a few hours. Did we mention free pizza, too?

Need a FLYER for your neighborhood? We got 'em!  Print them off.  Put them on a pole.  Tape them to your little brother.  The Edison Fixapalooza flyer is HEREThe Riverview Fixapalooza flyer is HERE!  Spread the news!!

Community Bike Racks

Some of our donated bikes have seen their last days on the road. But that doesn’t mean they are any less important to us! We recycle the bike frames and wheels to create one-of-a-kind bike racks. You may recognize some of them in the pictures below. They can be found outside of the People's Food Co-op and inside the parking garage next to the Rave Cinema.
